DVD-Rip

A DVD-Rip is a bootleg video ripped from a DVD source and then released on the Internet in a new container that is easily downloadable such as DivX, XviD, MP4 AVC, or more recently, MKV.

For the most part, DVD-Rips range from from 300MB in size (MP4 rips) to 1.36GB (2 CD releases with AC3 audio) with the larger releases with quality comparable to the full DVD it had been ripped from.

Convert DVD to XviD with meGUI- MeGUI is a front end for encoding MPEG-4 video and audio. Unlike older programs that tend to use VFW (Video For Windows) codecs, MeGUI and other modern programs use command line encoders. MeGUI can encode XviD or x264 video and MP3 or AAC audio. It can give you files in a variety of containers, and with a variety of settings. Once you know what you're doing you can even save your own favorite settings as profiles to be used repeatedly.

Converting DVD movies into .avi using AutoGK- This is a guide to use the very simple AutoGK to convert your DVD movies into ac3 or mp3 .avis with excellent quality final results.

Copy your DVD into DivX5 format - Guide for 16:9 anamorphic movies- This guide is an alternative to our previous DVD to VideoCD guide. Only real difference between these two guides is the format that we are using in here. So, now I suggest you to decide whther you want to use DivX5 or VideoCD format for your backup copying.
