In the Internet piracy scene, a release may be NUKED for several reasons. In the case of a movie, it may be because the group responsible for the release requested it, or there may be something actually wrong with the release, such as missing rars or out of sync audio.

There are many reasons a release may be NUKED, but a few of the most popular are

BAD A/R = bad aspect ratio, ie people appear too fat/thin
BAD IVTC = bad inverse telecine. process of converting framerates was incorrect.
INTERLACED = black lines on movement as the field order is incorrect.
