Pebibit

Because petabits are ambiguous and misuse the prefix "peta" as defined by the International System of Units, the International Electrotechnical Commission established pebibits in 1998.

A pebibit is always equal to 2^50, or 1,125,899,906,842,624 bits or 1024 gibibits.

As a unit of measurement, pebibits have no practical uses as of today.

Pebibits are 1,024 tebibits and precede exbi, zebi and yobi in bit measurement.

Very similar to petabits, which use a less exact prefix established by the International System of Units (SI) but are used much more commonly.
